Before I start on today, I obviously spoke too soon with Axel growing out of his 'chewing anything and everything that is lying around' stage. This morning after work I came home to find this ----
My very favourite and the best craft scissors, in pieces. My Cutterbee scissors. Handles chewed and in bits. The blades are still okay but not much use without the handles. Grrrr.....
Christmas decorations. Usually we put up the tree on December 1st but for some reason (most likely too many night shifts) we put in up in stages during the week. We have a few Christmas trees (!) ranging in size from small table top ones to a 6 foot one that we have had since Jacob was a baby. We did actually use the big one most years we were on the yacht - it sat in one corner of the saloon (our yacht had 7 foot headroom so it was perfect).
This year we decided to use our small fibre optic tree, decorated as well and placed on our Ikea bookcase.
Simple but decorated. Of course there is a touch of teal in there !!
My pages for day 6. The left side has two photos of tree decorations plus two cards made from the Stamp Spot kit. The day card is from Teresa Collins and I added the teal number 6 with Glossy Accents on top. The Saturday stamp is one of Ali Edwards older sets I've had for a long time. The 'Joy' stamp is patterned card from Teresa Collins and I handwrite the Joy with an embossing pen and used red Zing on it. The trees were made by Michelle at the Stamp Spot and originally were on a 3x4 card. I just trimmed around the trees (with my now eaten Cutterbee scissors !!) and adhered to the bottom of the card.
The tree. A 4x6 photo on a transparency from Studio Calico with some wood veneer stars.
The transparency between the two pages.
The right side. Two photos of the tree. The top right pocket is a glassine bag onto which I added some burlap and vellum which has a gold embossed star stamp (Ali Edwards) on it (made by Michelle again). Added the Tis the Season from Teresa Collins Tinsel and Co collection and some teal enamel dots. A gold tag sits in the pocket with journalling for the day. It's not hidden for a reason - just is the spot for it.
As it appears in my album.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look.

December Daily® is a December mini-album project initiated by Ali Edwards that documents the 25 days leading up to Christmas. The simple goal is to capture the spirit of December via one story per day.
